Walkley Liberal Democrats

Local people and the Bole Hill Conservation Group have raised concerns with their local councillors and the Area Panel about future plans for the area. This includes the BMX track, the pootball pitch and the tennis courts.

Last month, local Liberal Democrat councillor Diane Leek and Vickie Priestley hald a meeting with senior recreation officers and councillors to find a way foreward.

It was agreed that a more sturdy gate should be installed on the access track. It should be kept locked and only opened for the use of the football pitch and the BMX track.

It was agreed that only four BMX regional events will be held each year. Further improvements to the landscaping will also be done.

Local people had also raised concerns about extra dog bins and the tennis courts. These have also been looked at by council officers. Your local Liberal Democrat councillors Diane Leek and Jonathan Harston are working closely with the Area Panel, local groups and individuals. This is to improve the tennis courts and provide dog bins. If you have any comments, please fill in the slip below and return it to the address shown.
